Was this supposed to be funny? I usually laugh at things these guys are in.

To bad this wasn't an actual music parody. If anybody deserves one, it is Mumford and Sons. You can pretty much copy and paste the music for a very large amount of their songs. Please note, their first album I consider one of the best from that year, but they have very little musical diversity.

And that is different from any other band out today, how?

Dont have musical diversity? how very asinine. Does anybody remember Led Zeppelins awesome blues album?.........didnt think so

It's not a what, it's a who. Gob is the magician of a brother to Michael Bluth (played by Jason Bateman, who happens to be in this video) in Arrested Development.

I think they could have diversity. They just realized that they found something that's repeatable, and will make a ton of money (and it does), so why the hell make anything different! Some call it "selling out." I look at it as being fiscally smart.

I think the parody is accidental. The fact that the guys are acting so intensely earnest, which is supposed to be funny, actually parodies the fact that Mumford and Sons are a disingenuous hipster boy band who wrote two songs (fast one and slow one) and got two albums out of them. They've admitted here that their own heavy handed earnestness is about as genuine as their interest in and respect for the traditional music they've butchered.

He's not a magician. He's an illusionist. "Duh!"

I want to frame this comment.

But best video of all time? OF ALL TIME?!

musical diversity doesn't make a band or their music good.

OF ALL TIME!

"the magician of a brother to Michael Bluth"? So wait ... Gob isn't Michael's brother? He is the magician of Michael Bluth's brother? Also, technically this who is George Oliver Bluth and Gob is the shortened version.

This music is incredible as well.
