Not all cats are like this. My cat greets me as I come in from the garage. He even runs down the stairs and it's not because he needs food or his litterbox cleaned. The previous video showed how a dog reacts when someone comes home. I'm not going to assume that *all* dog owners are empty inside, emotionally needy, and need to be loved rather than be loving themselves. . .

Surely not, agreed. My cat goes apeshit when I'm gone 2 weeks. He jumps all over me and follows me around days after returning. Great joke vid though.

I think that this is the reason that men have dogs!!

Where I used to live, one of the other tenants had a cat named Gizmo. She was the most vocal cat I have ever met. When we would come home, she would come around to the parking lot and meow and meow and meow at us in greeting, and then she would follow us to our door. :) I miss her :(

Cats are a little more discerning. I'm sorry they can sense your toxicity and therefore, stay away.

You're DEAD to me, deserter!

Every cat I've had cries at the door (i pause to listen for it) and swirves in out between my legs when I spend even a night away. This video is false.

I was gone for 3 months and when I came home, I decided not to say a word, and you should have seen her face when she finally saw me, she literally ran to me and was so happy... It was sooo cute. I love my Lily girl. :)

It's a JOKE, people.

john lips said...

ehhhh. i've never had that happen. every cat met me at the door.

Swerving between your legs is a cat's attempt to trip and kill you.

I was gone for 6 months from my two four legged boys and when they saw me they ran and hid! I had to walk around and talk softly to them before the older cat came out first, then the younger one finally poked his nose out!

My cat Saffy is not like this at all - she is always on my lap, howls for me when she is looking for me, always greets me after my shower every day by standing on her hind legs on the bathroom bench and touches my face with her paw, is always sitting on a table by the front door to greet me every time I go out and makes such a fuss of me I have to push her away at times..... not all cats are like this whatsoever in reality, but a lot are I'll admit that :)

[Insert Comment About How MY Cat Isn't Like This]

Okay, then. Go enjoy your expressive cat while tumbling, eating, and watching superwholock alone.

My Cat meets me at the car door when I drive up.....does the figure eight leg job and heads to the door of the house.....the door closest to the food bowl! He very definitely recognizes the sound of the Pickup and the Harley.

Cats just have a natural ability to identify a dumbass....and ignore them. Sorry they hurt your feelings that way!

One of my cats hates it when I am away for a few days, she will run up to me smooches me for a whole 2 minutes, then growls at me & ignores me until I go to bed, then she is all over me. My hubby puts the phone on the ground for her if I am away for a few days, she sniffs the phone listens purrs, then growls at the phone & swats. Mad fur baby

Ever tried calling & leave a message for her to hear your voice when you're away? Cats like that.

Just you.

John Jacobson said...

Nice. How's that lazy stereotyping working for you with humans?

John Jacobson said...

Yes, good observation. The sadness comes from these humans who buy into such petty stereotypes and apply that laziness to everything else they see in the world. Think.

ihatepeople said...

You have to be a furry, otherwise you wouldn't get so upset. You're the sad person who can't take a fucking joke.
