Meet Point Defiance Zoo’s New Baby Muskox

Biologist Shannon Smith from Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington introduces us to Hudson, a fluffy three-month-old muskox who loves practicing headbutting, snacking on flowers, and getting his belly scratched.

“Hudson, who was rejected by his mother shortly after birth, has been hand raised by staff at the University of Alaska Fairbanks before arriving to Tacoma last week. Although the shaggy baby is growing quickly – around two pounds every week – he still has a lot of growing to do before he’s fully grown (up to 800 lbs).”
