These playful otters got a special Christmas surprise at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Animal handlers left an array of colorful ice treats decorated like Christmas trees, candy canes, and snowflakes in the front of their habitat. The otters ecstatically raced for the treats and snatched them up right away, and got straight to nibbling on their delicious holiday snack. It probably didn’t hurt that the ice treats were coated in minced clams either.
