Escaped Elephant Goes on Shopping Spree

After escaping from a circus near Noordwijk, Netherlands, this friendly elephant, named Buba, casually wandered over to a nearby car boot sale (flea market) to shop for some bargains.

“Buba the escaped circus elephant caused a real stir in the Netherlands this week. Customers at a car boot sale in Noordwijk were stunned to see the giant animal appear out of nowhere and begin to search through the wares. His carer was not far behind, and gently guided the 40-year-old Buba back to the circus. He is the star attraction for the nearby Freiwald Menagrier Circus, and they say the sweet-natured creature was probably looking for food.”
