Nature Expert Coyote Peterson Gets Intentionally Stung by Two Types of Scorpions to Compare the Pain

In the latest episode of his “Breaking Trail” nature series, animal expert and adventurer Coyote Peterson travels to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona to experience and compare the extremely painful stings of two of the desert’s most common scorpians, the giant desert hairy scorpion and the stripe-tailed scorpian.

“Being that the desert hairy is nearly 4 times the size of the stripe-tailed, most people assume it also carries the more painful sting. However in scorpions, size doesn’t necessarily matter when it comes to their venom’s potency.”
