Dinosaur Expert Nathan Smith Explains Every Dinosaur in the ‘Jurassic Park’ Film Series

To celebrate the recent release of Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, WIRED asked Nathan Smith, an associate curator in the Dinosaur Institute at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, to discuss every species of dinosaur that has appeared in the Jurassic Park film series.

“How realistically were the dinosaurs in the films portrayed? Is the T-Rex actually the king of the dinosaurs? Is the real life Dilophosaurus actually SCARIER than its film counterpart? Nathan uses his dino-expertise to highlight the similarities and differences between what we know now, and how the movies depicted them.”
