What’s the opposite of a “glow up”? It’s not looking worse.
In fact, it’s got nothing to do with you at all. There’s another person in your life sucking all the energy out of you. While other people are sharing their “before and after” photos of their bodies after months of working out, parents are revealing how they looked before vs. after having children. The Instagram “Got Toddlered” will make you second-guess having kids for a bit. Or forever.
Parenting is stressful.
To be fair, I don’t have kids. But, according to a study, having a child is more stressful than divorce, unemployment, or the death of a partner. Being a new parent will straight up destroy you. The payoff, however, is that they eventually leave the house, and you get to go back to normal with a new appreciation for life. Won’t that be nice?
