Random facts are the best facts to know. You can sound smart without actually knowing how to think. The best part is: the facts only have to sound true. Or not true at all. The truth is stranger than fiction, so if you only half-remember the fact you’re telling someone, it’ll sound even truer.
Did you know… the first case of HIV in humans was traced back to the year 1908? I heard it on RadioLab 8 years ago, so it must be right. No need to look it up. I will not be taking follow-up questions at this time.
